Burgo focuses exclusively on creating fashion designers and developing their fashion brands. The word “stylist” in our program originated from the Italian word “stilista”, meaning designer.Becoming a designer means you have to be able to develop a strong creative concept and transform it into a garment. You will gain knowledge of how to create a collection starting from an idea. This is taught in a process through fashion design and pattern making classes. We also provide you with exclusive classes to enhance your skill in detailed progress. After you develop your collections, you will learn how to create a fashion brand and learn about the production cycle. All these classes are taught using the famous Burgo one-on-one method with a limited number of students per class, where our instructors will guide you personally with a customised curriculum according to your goals. We are here to help you get through each step to reach your goals.

Fashion is not only about the garment, but now it has developed into a form of self-expression. It is an art portrayed through a design. In achieving this, you will gain knowledge of all bases and techniques of drawing with all elements to create as real an illustration as possible. You will learn how to develop your idea into a collection through fashion illustration, quick sketch, and technical drawings. All these techniques will later be applied for you to be free to express your idea and creativity through your design with no limit. During this Fashion Design Program you will engage in practical exercises, creating hundreds of drawings and different types of collections. You not only learn classic hand-drawn illustration but we are also adapting with the newest technology and providing you with digital drawing techniques to prepare you for the future of fashion.

The primary focus of this program is to train our students to create high quality garments using Italian craftsmanship. This course focuses on transforming fashion illustration into garments through the process of drawing the pattern until production. Our aim is for you to be able to read a design and create every kind of garment. You will gain knowledge to draw patterns from base patterns and manipulating it to create the best fit and shape as possible. Later you will learn how to choose the best tailoring technique to create high quality garments. We will guide you through each step of this progress of learning for you to achieve your goals. You will be mentored, advised with a unique curriculum to express your individual creativity with no limitation.

Pattern making is one of the most important aspects of the manufacturing process in any kind of production house. Pattern makers transform a design into a pattern which will be developed into a garment. The job of a pattern maker consists of creating patterns and manipulating those patterns to get the perfect shape and fit while maintaining proportion and style of the original design. Creating a garment prototype as a sample is the goal. Through this course you will learn human body measurement and international standard body measurement to ensure a perfect fit in the result, from womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, sport, swimwear, until lingerie in flat pattern. Familiarity with fabric and skilful sewing is what enhances the quality of a garment. You will also learn how to create and supervise prototype production, ensuring the quality of the collection.
